Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park area, after Komodo Island and Rinca Island. This island has an extraordinary view that can be 
seen from the Peak of the Island.
Padar Island was once inhabited by Komodo dragons, but due to lack of food availability, all the Komodo dragons on this island migrated to Rinca Island and Komodo Island. It should be admitted that the availability of food on Komodo Island cannot be the survival of these wild animals, because apart from the island being smaller than Rinca Island and Komodo Island, the topography of this island which is almost 90% hill, is a separate obstacle for wild animals that live here.
But do not worry, because even though we don’t see Komodo dragons on this island, the beauty of this Padar Island is able to amaze our eyes. And this island is one of the most attractive tourist attractions in recent years.
How to Get to Padar Island?
As we know, the best starting point to explore Padar Island and Komodo National park is from Labuan Bajo. And normally we can take a boat from Labuan Bajo to get to Padar Island, and this is the only way to get there.
If you take speed boat, it will take about 90 minutes from Labuan bajo. And the speed boat trip is available every day for One day trip service. and you can go to Padar island also by wooden boat, and this kind of trip normally takes from 2 days trip till 3 days trip.
